Ramanand Sagar's 'Shri Krishna' (13): - Naaradji gets the Darshan of the Divine Pair- Radha-Krishna

Now we will start from the scene we ended, in my last post. That is- all the gods along with Brahmaji have gone to their respective 'lokas' but we can see Naaradji still standing at the ksheer saagar

Suddenly a Divine Light appears and asks Naraadji what is the reason that he is still staying behind. Naaradji answers that even after coming this far into ksheer saagar, he does not want to go back without a 'darshan' of the divine couple. He has faith in his devotion that the Lord will definitely fulfill his wish.

The Lord expresses surprise with the word- 'Both' and then says -'Tathaastu'.

Now the image of Radhe-Krishna appeared before Naaradji, but the two images keeps on merging in one another, so he could not make out anything...

A confused Naaradji now asks the Lord to appear as 'two different entities'. But the Lord answers that how could they separate themselves when they is no difference in Radha and Krishna? The way one cannot separate a flower from its fragrance, the Sun and its radiance, the sea and its waves- in the same way Radha and Krishna are always engrossed into each other.

Naaradji says it is true that Radha Krishna are present in every atom of the creation, the Gyani realise this 'nirakaar roop' of the Lord through Realisation. But the thirst of a devotee's heart can only be quenched by the 'sakaar darshan' and again request for the darshan of the couple.

Now Radha and Krishna -both appear clearly in font of Naaradji. Krishna explains that He always fulfills the wish of His devotees. So now Naaradji can enjoy the Unique sight of Radha-Krishna which is Very Very Special, only permitted to the Intense Devotees. Many times even the gyaanis, after many births of penance, are also not granted this Rare Sight..

After witnessing the Divine Image of Shri Radha-Krishna, Naaradji becomes overwhelmed! He feels Blissful!! He realises that those two forms contain millions of various forms, (i.e.- the whole creation), in them! It seems that his birth has become successful on that very moment!!!

Shri Krishna now explains that basically, there is no duality, there is only 'the One' who is the Source/ Origin of the Whole Creation,  'Ek aham dwitiya naasti'. So when Naaradji asked for the darshan of the two forms, Shri Krishna was in dilemma about how and which form to show?? He also explains that actually Naaradji wanted to see 'both' the forms (Radha-Krishna) of the Lord, Together.

Naaradji agrees to it and expresses that even a devotees unclear / haphazard words (due to overflowing emotions or excitement), also make perfect sense to the Lord because the Compassionate Lord understands what lies in the heart of a devotee :)....  He asks for forgiveness if he has done anything wrong and requests the Lord only to consider the 'feelings' of his heart and not his words, which may be wrong.

Here we have a really wonderful song- 'Radha so Shyam, Shyam soyi Radha', through which Naaradji eulogizes Shri Radhe-Krishna.

Here is the lyrics of the song, along with its translation in English, posted by Lola (4th post of the page)-

Shri Krishna becomes happy with the devotion of Naaradji and tells him to ask for boon. Naardaji expresses his four wishes-

- May the Maya of the Lord never influence him.

- He wants keep on seeing the divine smile of the Lord always.

- He wants to enjoy the Bliss of the Lord's human leela on earth by staying around the Lord.

- And lastly, he always wants to retain the memory of this Divine Form of the Lord, which he has just witnessed.

Shri Krishna lovingly agrees to all his requests :).

This scene is so Intense, so Enlightening, that my words in this post are incapable of expressing them!!! You all need to watch the scene to actually Experience it!!! There are many many such scenes in 'Shri Krishna' and also in 'Ramayan',  which are beyond words, they are to be Experienced, Realised and to be Meditated upon.

Do watch this very very important scene from 'Shri Krishna', to fill yourself with the Knowledge as well as the Divine Nectar which is generated while watching this scene!!

'Hari Haraye Namah Krishna'

This is a very famous and old stotra on Shri Krishna. I heard it for the first time in the film 'Aagantuk'. Utpal Dutt was reciting this stotra, the original voice was of Satyajit Ray's, I think. But there the stotra remained incomplete as the next events of the film started taking place. From then, I always wanted to listen the full stotra along with reading it. Very recently I came to the audio track of the same and got the lyrics on internet. It has 10 stanzas, written by Narottam Das. Above the post I have given the vidoe of the song from YouTube, and here is the lyrics, and the English translation (which I got from the internet, credit goes to the original writer who posted the lyrics). (1) Hari haraye namah krishna yadavaya namah Yadavaya madhavaya kesavaya namah (2) Gopala govinda rama sri-madhusudana Giridhari gopinatha madana-mohana (3) Sri-caitanya-nityananda sri-advaita-sita Hari guru vaishnava bhagavata gita (4) Sri-rupa sanatana bhatta-...
